Festive Ball 2026

Ticket terms

A Night to Remember, Saturday 7th November 2026, The Park Hotel, Kilmarnock. Please read these before you book. Back to the ball.

Who is running the event

Organised and sponsored by The Designer Rooms in aid of NBCC. The Designer Rooms is covering the full cost of the evening, so all proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the charity. The Designer Rooms receives no payment for organising this event.

The ball is organised and sponsored by The Designer Rooms, who hold the arrangements with the venue, the host and the entertainment. The Night Before Christmas Campaign (NBCC), a Scottish charity, number SC047995, is the charity the event is in aid of and sells the tickets. Questions about your booking come to us; we will pass on anything about the running of the evening.

What your ticket includes

Entry to the ball, a three-course meal, a welcome drink on arrival, and entertainment through the evening. The menu and the running order are still being finalised with the venue; we will email everyone who has booked as soon as they are confirmed. Nothing else is included unless we say so in writing.

Price and payment

Tickets are £100 each. A table seats ten and costs £1,000. Payment is taken at the time of booking by card through Stripe, our payment provider. Your booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email. If it does not arrive, check your junk folder, and if it is not there either email events@nbcc.scot and we will sort it out.

You may choose to cover the card processing fee, and you may choose to add a voluntary donation. Both are optional and neither affects your ticket. If you choose not to cover it, the card processing fee (1.2% plus 20p, charged once per booking rather than per ticket) is deducted by our payment provider, so NBCC receives slightly less than the full ticket price. The fee we ask you to cover is calculated on the tickets only, never on a donation. The Designer Rooms is covering the cost of the evening itself, so no part of your ticket pays for the venue, the catering or the entertainment. Gift Aid cannot be claimed on ticket sales, because you receive a meal and entertainment in return. It can be claimed on a voluntary donation, if you are a UK taxpayer and tell us so.

Refunds, changes and transfers

Tickets are non-refundable. Because this is an event on a specific date, the fourteen-day cancellation right that applies to most things bought online does not apply here.

Tickets are transferable. If you cannot come, you are welcome to pass your place to someone else. Just tell us the new guest's name before the night so the door list and the catering are right.

If the event is cancelled and not rescheduled, you will be refunded in full. If it is rescheduled, your ticket stays valid for the new date, and you may ask for a refund instead.

Age

This is an over-18s event. We may ask for proof of age on the door, and anyone who cannot show they are 18 or over will not be admitted. No refund is given in that case, so please make sure everyone in your party is old enough before the night.

Tickets are transferable. If a place has been booked for someone under 18, tell us before the night and we will move it to another guest, at no charge.

Guest details and dietary requirements

After booking we will ask for your guests' names and any dietary or access requirements, so the venue can look after everyone properly. Please send these by the date we give you; we cannot guarantee we can meet a requirement we hear about on the night.

Your information

NBCC holds your booking details to administer your booking and to run the event. Dietary and access requirements are sensitive information: we share only what the venue needs, and we delete it automatically ninety days after the event. We will only send you marketing if you have separately asked us to, and you can stop that at any time. Full detail is in our privacy notice.

Photography and filming

Photographs and film may be taken during the evening and used by NBCC and by The Designer Rooms to promote the charity and future events. There will be signage on the night. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of the NBCC team at the welcome desk and we will make sure of it.

On the night

The venue's own conditions of entry apply, including its right to refuse entry or ask someone to leave. There will be a charity auction and a raffle; raffle tickets are sold at the event only. Anything you give on the night goes to NBCC.
